Title: Highland Knight To Remember
Author: Amy Jarecki
Genre: Historical Romance
Series: Highland Dynasty #3
Publisher: Rapture Books
In 15th century Scotland, Gyllis Campbell arrives at the Beltane festival with one thing on her mind—to win the heart of Sir Sean MacDougall once and for all. Astonishingly, Sir Sean would like nothing more than to oblige the lovely lass.
But when news of his father’s death arrives, Sean races for Dunollie Castle. Unaware of Sean’s tragedy, Gyllis departs the festival thwarted. Worse, a terrible illness strikes her down, and she’s sent to the cloisters of Ardchattan Priory for healing.
Plagued by raids on his lands and deception in his ranks, Sean is embroiled in a battle to regain control. Pulled in a myriad of directions, adversity runs rampant as Gyllis struggles to regain her health and Sean battles the very demon who covets his title. Fighting for their lives, both must prevail before their love can blossom.
I love getting lost in the worlds that Amy Jarecki creates and the Highland Dynasty series is one of my favorites.
This story takes place in the late 15th century in the Scottish Highlands some years after the previous book, A Highland Knight's Desire.
Gyllis is a strong willed, nothing-is-gonna-stand-in-my-way
kind of girl. I don’t think there’s anything she can’t overcome. Truly. She _is_ Black Colin’s daughter after all. And she’s not fake. Her character is a work of art in itself.
Sean is known as the “lusty laddy”. Unfortunately for Gyllis, it’s going to take a lot for her brother Duncan to cast this monicker aside. That and everything he knows about Sean since they’ve practically grown up together and the time spent together in The Highland Enforcers.
This story has it all. Romance, danger, treachery and misfortune. The story will enrapture you completely.
I also need to add that I listened to the Audible version and Dave Gillies is impressive with his different voices.
